This lot is composed of coffees from various small farms throughout Peru. Peru is known for it's coffee that highlight sweet, acidic flavors, with a rich, smooth body.
Peru Decaf is a water-processed coffee done in a facility in Mexico called Descamex. Green coffee is soaked in a water solution, which removes both the caffeine as well as other soluables in the coffee. The water is removed from the seeds and run through a special filter that captures caffeine molecules that strains from the solution. The solution, now containing flavor compounds but NO caffeine- is reintroduced to the green coffee seeds.
